This project is a philosophical and artistic study of the phenomenon of "phantom nodes" — invisible yet influential objects and subjects in the contemporary global system. The descriptions contained within this study are metaphorical and allegorical, aimed at uncovering systemic problems, regimes, and civilisational influences. They are not a journalistic investigation or legal accusations, but serve as an artistic interpretation of reality.
This creation is protected and cannot be used by third parties for the purpose of supporting, propagating, or legitimizing criminal regimes, terrorist states, and organizations operating in the shadows. The use of data or analysis results from this project, whether in part or in full, is expressly prohibited if the objective is to support or conceal their criminal activity.
The project may be freely used by individuals and organizations that combat evil, corruption, and aggression.

— Presented racial separation as the only “rational” way to avoid conflict.
— Coined the ideology of “separate development,” which masked a system of disenfranchisement.
— Used his academic background to design a seemingly “logical” structure of racial hierarchy.
— The 1953 Bantu Education Act: aimed to limit Black education to minimal functional roles.
— Created Bantustans — territories designated to strip Black South Africans of their national rights.
What Held It in Place?
— Belief in logic as the supreme organizing force.
— Political support from a white supremacist government.
— “Scientific” legitimacy masking moral collapse.
How Did It Become a Phantom?
— The crime became a system, shielded by law and bureaucracy.
— Verwoerd’s personal responsibility was diffused across institutions.
— Apartheid was sold as “positive discrimination.”
Why Does the Phantom Still Exist?
— Architects of structural violence often remain in the shadows.
— Bureaucratic systems disguise ideology in “neutral” language.
— "Engineering" sounds apolitical — but it can be lethal.

— Reappears in any effort to “scientifically” divide people by origin or category.
— Haunts policies of calculated exclusion masked as order.
After the Regime
— Apartheid was formally abolished in the 1990s.
— But its architectural logic lingers — in land, education, and access.
— Verwoerd was assassinated, yet his system survived for decades.
Collective Response
We recognize the intellectualization of oppression.
We decode violence embedded in academic tone.
We dissolve the phantom — wherever “logic” justifies injustice.
