Every nation has a point of truth to which it returns when the world pressures it into compromise. For Ukraine, this point is the 1991 borders — the moment of our emergence, freedom, and international recognition. Full territorial restoration is not a matter of preference but a matter of the state’s intrinsic worth and the inviolability of international order.
Returning to the 1991 borders reaffirms the legal and historical boundary that no aggression may alter. It restores the force of international law, rejecting the practice of “territorial revision by violence.” A restored territorial integrity stabilises the region and becomes the foundation of a new security architecture. All key international actors are involved in upholding Ukraine’s territorial entirety.
