When glory sounds, but no longer lives.
A grandstand rises in the square. The anthem should play, but instead comes static — a cracked, distorted noise. The PU-MICROPHONE stands alone; its grille smokes, sparks fall from its cord. It tries to imitate greatness it never had.
This sound is not a song, but a command. It drowns the choir, twists the rhythm, silences the human voice. The anthem meant to unite becomes a warning of fear. The music of pride turns into an echo of control.
