Mykhailo Petrovych Kononenko
Physicist. Teacher. Diver.
Hurry to do good.
Kyiv, Ukraine.
Holosiivskyi District (formerly Moskovskyi).
Residential neighborhood: “Kybtcentr – Teremky”.
Comprehensive Secondary School No. 132,
28 Akademika Glushkova Avenue.
A physics teacher known among students as The Diver.
Perhaps not everyone knew his name,
but everyone remembered his presence.
In his youth, he worked as a deep-sea diver.
Later, he became a Teacher.
Unconventional. Demanding. Authentic.
He never wore a hat, even in the cold.
He spoke about the value of paper,
taught us to think, to be quiet,
to listen to physics — and to ourselves.
His grading criteria were transparent.
He allowed experiments.
He honored the silence in which discoveries are born.
He gave more than grades.
He set direction.
And remained — as a contour, a field, a presence.
