12. ⚓ Freedom of Maritime Routes

Secure maritime corridors are essential for Ukraine’s economic resilience and global food stability.

Ukraine must receive guaranteed, demilitarised, and internationally protected access to Black Sea commerce and global trade routes.

Ukraine is one of the world’s major food exporters and a strategic maritime nation. Russia’s aggression proved how vulnerable shipping routes are and how vital it is to secure their uninterrupted operation.

True freedom of navigation requires:

— complete neutralisation of military threats to ports and coastal areas;

— international escort and patrol missions;

— cooperative demining frameworks;

— a new Black Sea security architecture;

— immediate consequences for any attempt at obstruction.

Open maritime routes will revive ports such as Odesa, Chornomorsk, Pivdennyi, and later Mariupol and Berdiansk after liberation. This will restore a major segment of Ukraine’s GDP and reduce global food insecurity.

Artistically:

Imagine a sea once shattered by explosions now returning to calm breath. A clear, straight horizon invites safe passage. A single ship moves forward, cutting through the water with confidence. No force can close this path again.

Ukraine must receive lasting international guarantees of free navigation and complete demilitarisation of threats in the Black Sea.
