Responsibility of the Firstborn
He stands in front. And already carries the strength of the lineage.
Ivan is around seven. Still a child — but no longer a toddler. His clothes are neat, proper. His gaze — serious, composed. He stands like an elder: without fear, with dignity, a little withdrawn — yet focused.
Next to him are his younger brothers. They are smaller, livelier, more relaxed. They are under his quiet protection, even if not formally so. There are many of them — but only one him. And this creates a sense of axis. The others — revolve around him.
This is not merely a photo of brothers. It is a symbol of formation. Ivan is no longer held in adult arms — he is now the center himself. No longer just the object of care — he is becoming the subject of responsibility.
When you look at this photograph, you feel the strength.
The strength of the one who carries.
And in this photograph, that strength has a name.
Alt-text:
Ivan, around age 7–8, stands at the front beside his younger brothers. His figure is central, his gaze mature. The image speaks of the weight of being the firstborn.
