As the days grow shorter, light becomes more precious.
And even now, there is room for tenderness,
for the breath of the earth preparing to rest.
Peace is not the absence of motion.
It is the ability to breathe in silence.
A time when goodness moves slowly,
because it doesn't need to defend itself from winter.
