🚨 Network Security: Intrusion Detection
Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are like a security alarm for your network. They constantly monitor traffic and look for suspicious activity. Imagine it's a radar that scans the sky for enemy planes. As soon as the IDS detects something suspicious, it sends an alert.
IDS can detect various types of attacks, such as password cracking attempts, port scanning, and malware. IDS is an important tool for protecting your network from cybercriminals.
There are two main types of IDS: Network IDS (NIDS) and Host IDS (HIDS). NIDS monitors network traffic, while HIDS monitors activity on individual computers.

A cybersecurity image of a high-tech alarm system or radar that is displaying a warning about suspicious activity. This image is captured with a cinematic style and is high quality. It emphasizes the intricate details of the security system. The background has dark tones and is contrasted with bright, vibrant lights like blue and green indicating the detection of suspicious activity. The image shows network graphs that are detailed and complex, symbolizing a vast network being monitored by a cybersecurity team. The radar is in full alert, with a bright red signal indicating the suspicious activity. This signal is accompanied by a digital display that highlights the suspicious IP addresses and network connections involved in the unusual activity. The camera angle is from above, creating a sense of being in the security operations center observing the ongoing incident.
