Mr. John Einig invented the 32 inch steam whistle "Big Jim" which sounded four times a day in Jacksonville, Florida since 1890. It sounded the alarm for the Great Fire of 1901, for the end of World War I and II, and for the death of John Einig. He built the first horseless carriage in Jacksonville in 1896. It was featured in Scientific American. He owned and operated several steamboats during his lifetime.
