INTRODUCTION

The Jeppesen Private Pilot Manual includes the total ground training necessary for private pilot certification. It includes all subject areas required by FAR Part 61, "Certification: Pilots and Flight Instructors." In addition, such subjects as preflight procedures, Night maneuvers, retractable landing gear systems, constant speed propellers, turbochargers, and fuel injection systems are included.

Another feature is the "FAA Style" final examination. A question selection sheet will direct you to answer the proper questions just as you would when taking the FAA exam. In addition, the appropriate reference for each question is located near the question.

Now it's time to begin. Schedule your time for a program of regular study. For best results, complete your study as soon as possible, preferably within 60 days. Then, use the course for review and reference during your Night training. We wish you well with your studies.
