But the responsibility — does not.
Pope Innocent III became a symbol of a Church that blessed death.
The Inquisition was just beginning. But even then, fear became the main tool of faith.

State: Unnamed crime, unacknowledged guilt
Form of retention: Holiness + absolute power + silence

— Silence instead of truth

The name is in history — but the meaning is blurred.
Because guilt was never owned.
And so the phantom lives on.
How did it become a phantom?
— When fear of the Church became deeper than fear of God
— When no defense was allowed in court
— When faith was turned into a weapon
Why is the phantom still alive?
— Because the system remains
— Because the truth has not been spoken
— Because the name was replaced with a title
Phantom State
Innocent III did not carry the sword — but he blessed it.
Did not burn — but allowed it.
Did not torture — but made it lawful.
And so the phantom lives where guilt has no name.
Silence does not cleanse.
It conceals.
