A society that hadn’t yet realized its power

How did it become a phantom?

Fled at the most critical moment in national history

Became a political corpse, used by others

Left behind shame, institutional ruin, and an empty throne

Why does the phantom still exist?

His methods are still imitated

Symbolically present in revanchist narratives

Used in Russian propaganda

His escape was not an end, but an ellipsis...

Key Aspects of the Phantom: 

"Treason and Escape" (or "The Ghost of Corruption"). Viktor Yanukovych is a unique phantom node that exists at the intersection of history and the present. He is not an active operator, but his figure is a symbol of systemic corruption and external control that is still used by the regime as a legitimizing tool. His phantom essence lies in the fact that, while physically absent, he remains a political symbol and a "reserve leader" in a shadow reality, ready to be deployed to justify aggression.

Regimes (which he directly shapes/supports):

👻 Regime of "Phantom Power": He embodies the "legitimate" but illusory power that serves as a constant justification for foreign aggression.

🤝 Regime of "Systemic Corruption": His rule was the epitome of a regime where the state and power are turned into a personal resource for enrichment, a model that is being copied in occupied territories.

** Puppet Regime of "External Control":** His figure symbolizes the complete sale of a state's sovereignty in exchange for personal preferences and power controlled from the outside.
