Obituary for Brenda Ann (Hinton) Powell

POWELL- Brenda Ann (Hinton) Powell was welcomed into this world on April 15, 1975 and flew into heaven on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Brenda was a life-long resident of Jacksonville, FL where you could find her enjoying the beautiful beaches or working in her yard with her favorite purple flowers. Her creativity was evident in the photographs she loved to take. Her favorite subjects being her heart, James and Kara. She is survived and will be missed dearly by: her son, James Dale Hinton (Alyssa) and daughter, Kara Nichole Hinton (Andy); her father, Rusty Powell, and his wife, Sharon; her mother, Robin Powell; grandmother, Clara Powell; her sister, Sandi Dancy and her husband, John; brother, Christopher Styles; her beautiful granddaughters, Mila Renee Johnson and Willow Ann Hinton; her nieces, Sierra Herrin and Franki Tucker; her in-laws Roger and Debbie Hinton; special friends, Kevin, Matt, and Doug. Brenda will also be forever remembered by numerous: aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends and all the little loves that knew her as “Aunt B”. Brenda was always ready to set an extra plate for dinner. She will undoubtedly have places set for us all when we return to our heavenly home. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 15th, 2021 in the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32211 with Rev. Jeul Strickland officiating. Burial will follow the services at Ferreira cemetery Starratt Road. Family will receive Friends 1:00 p.m. until the start of the services on Monday, March 15th at the funeral home.
