We are planning to hold immersion courses at the IOGKF Honbu Dojo in Okinawa, now that most travel restrictions have been lifted. These will be taught by senior IOGKF instructors, Uehara, Kuramoto, and Yonesato, as well as, of course, Higaonna Sensei himself.
These will be like the events we have been holding with senior masters in Japan and Okinawa since 2010, except they will focus specifically on Okinawan Goju Ryu.
Our events, as with all previous seminars, will be inclusive so we take care of your training, travel, accommodation, documentation and trips to important karate sites and social events. Registration is open to everyone over 18 tears of age, regardless of affiliation, grade, or experience.
If you attended one or more of the events in Okinawa over the past 12 years, you will already know just how valuable they are, and how enjoyable. Around 30% of students attend more than once, and several have trained with us three or more times. You just cannot beat small classes with a very high instructor-to-student ratio, and the ability to get answers to the questions that have always bothered you.
We are working on schedules now and will release a program as soon as the details are completed. Meanwhile, check back from time to time so you miss nothing!
Our immersion seminars are supported by Meijin Karate Uniforms, Dragon Associates, and the Karate Do Kenkyukai Public Educational Foundation.
